JND Legal move to recuse special master in realtor suit denied by US judge

( August 27, 2026, 15:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US judge has denied JND Legal Administration's motion to recuse court-appointed special master Chris Hellums in antitrust litigation brought by home sellers against the National Association of Realtors over residential real estate broker commissions. JND argues that Hellums, in connection with his responsibilities in another antitrust case, has expressed a bias against JND, but JND is not a party in the NAR suit so it can not move to disqualify Hellums, US District Judge Stephen Bough said in his order from the Western District of Missouri. Even if JND were allowed to move for disqualification of a special master, JND fails to demonstrate that Hellums' impartiality might be reasonably questioned, the order said.See attached document: ...
