Elderly Aids, or EAL, made 758,053 unsolicited marketing calls to people registered with the Telephone Preference Service between May 2024 and February 2025, generating 20 complaints alleging that callers were aggressive, misleading and often failed to identify themselves, the Information Commissioner's Office, or ICO, said. EAL was fined for breaching the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and also ordered to stop making unlawful marketing calls and comply with caller-identification requirements, the ICO said.Press release follows. ...
