South Korea copyright collective rescinds new rules on AI-assisted music works

South Korea’s largest music collective management association said the board reached its decision on Wednesday in response to requests from the government and parliament to change the rules only after a consensus has been reached among various stakeholders. Under the now-withdrawn criteria, works created with AI assistance could have been registered if the creator substantially participated in writing the lyrics, composing or arranging the music.The statement is attached (in Korean)....
