Uber feels the heat of Denmark’s call-in powers

The decision — the first one made in the framework of the DCCA's call-in powers — will serve as a warning to acquirers across Europe that before integrating the target, it might be wiser to consult antitrust authorities on any deal that might risk competition objections. One year of proceedings, an in-depth probe, several proposals for remedies, and finally the commitment to sell some of the target's core assets. This is what it took for Uber to have its acquisition of Danish transport provider Dantaxi cleared by the country's antitrust watchdog....
