OpenAI facing investigation by Alabama AG into AI-driven Hugging Face hack

Marshall subpoenaed OpenAI for documents and information to determine if the company's safety controls and oversight violated Alabama's consumer protection laws, following a multistate demand that OpenAI halt the tests behind the hacking until they can be conducted safely.
