The plan, approved at a ministerial meeting on science and technology, includes measures to narrow the technology gap with the US and China by expanding the scale and scope of testing projects, accumulating large-scale driving data and improving the legal and regulatory framework. The government also approved final AI Ethics Principles, updating national AI ethics guidelines adopted in 2020 to reflect changes in the global AI landscape.
