51% of large South Korean manufacturers to use physical AI soon, survey shows

( August 20, 2026, 06:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: About 51 percent of large South Korean manufacturers with 500 or more employees have already introduced “physical artificial intelligence” devices into their manufacturing processes or plan to do so within a year, while another 33 percent plan to adopt them later, according to survey results released Thursday. The Korea Enterprises Federation said only 16 percent of the 100 companies that responded to its survey have yet to make plans to introduce such devices. Among the expected benefits, 45.2 percent of respondents cited improved productivity and work performance, 26.2 percent cited easier workforce management and 22.6 percent cited the prevention or reduction of industrial accidents and risks.The statement is attached (in Korean)....
