South Korea plans US FTC reporting channel, platform obligations over sexual imagery

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the Korea Media and Communications Commission and the National Police Agency announced Thursday a package of countermeasures targeting websites distributing non-consensually filmed sexual content. The measures are based on an analysis of 34,628 illegal websites and reflect concerns that victims continue to suffer lasting harm from the repeated redistribution of such content online.
