ByteDance, US MPA agree AI safeguards to protect film, TV intellectual property

The MOU covers models offered through services including TikTok, the TikTok USDS Joint Venture, CapCut and Dreamina, and commits the parties to continued cooperation on protections for copyrighted film and television content as the technology develops. The agreement follows a cease-and-desist letter sent by the MPA to ByteDance in February over Seedream 5.0 Lite and Seedance 2.0 and subsequent discussions between the parties. Statement follows....
