204 digital platforms submit child-safety risk assessments in Indonesia
( August 18, 2026, 04:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Some 204 digital platforms have submitted mandatory self-assessments of their risk profiles to the Indonesian government under the country's online child-protection regime, the Communications and Digital Affairs Ministry said Monday. Platforms have also disabled about 4.7 million children's accounts as of July. The measures form part of the implementation of a government regulation on electronic system governance for child protection, known as PP TUNAS. The ministry said the framework is intended to increase platform accountability for protecting children online rather than focus solely on account restrictions. The government has made implementation of PP TUNAS one of its three priority digital programs, alongside development of the National Data Center and enforcement against online gambling.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
