Singapore competition regulator warns HelloRide over attempted rival price talks

( August 17, 2026, 05:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Singapore’s Competition and Consumer Commission has warned shared-bike operator HelloRide over two attempts in 2025 to initiate price discussions with rival Anywheel. The CCS On Monday said the conduct did not breach Section 34 of the Competition Act because no commercially sensitive information was exchanged and Anywheel declined to engage. The regulator said coordination between Singapore’s only two licensed shared-bicycle operators could significantly harm competition. The regulator commended Anywheel for reporting the approaches and urged businesses to reject and report similar conduct.Statement follows....
