The ministry said the seven projects cover areas where South Korea needs to begin planting the seeds now and nurture them over the long term to secure new growth engines 10 to 20 years later. The projects span three areas: future clean energy to meet growing demand amid the artificial intelligence revolution, “new-frontier technologies” that expand the boundaries of human capabilities and “advanced supply chains” encompassing critical minerals, materials, components and equipment.
