China imposes provisional dumping measures on US, Mexican pecans
( August 10, 2026, 10:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Ministry of Commerce has preliminarily found that carya illinoensis, or pecans, imported from Mexico and the US were dumped into China, causing material injury to the domestic pecan industry, according to a notice published Monday. From Tuesday, the ministry said importers must post deposits based on company-specific dumping margins ranging from 17.8 percent to 54.3 percent for fresh or dried pecans from the two countries. The investigation was launched in September 2025 and is due to conclude within one year. Interested parties have 10 days from the notice's publication to submit written comments.Statement follows.
