Indonesia's KPPU cancels iForte merger notification case over procedural flaws

( August 7, 2026, 01:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia's Competition Commission, KPPU, has dismissed a merger notification case against PT iForte Solusi Infotek after finding that the investigation was based on procedures and legal provisions that were no longer in force. In a decision on Thursday, the commission's adjudicating panel ruled that the alleged violation report concerning iForte's acquisition of PT MCP Indo Utama had been prepared under revoked procedural rules, undermining legal certainty and due process. The panel therefore declined to assess whether iForte breached Indonesia's mandatory merger notification requirements and recommended that the commission re-examine the transaction under KPPU Regulation No. 2/2023, the current procedural framework governing merger control cases.Statement follows (in Indonesian)...
