Nexstar executives prohibited from serving on TEGNA board, US judge rules
( August 6, 2026, 21:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Current and former Nexstar Media Group employees are "prohibited" from serving on TEGNA Inc.'s board of directors, and Nexstar must seek the court's permission to name any TEGNA board member that has "a material relationship to Nexstar," US Chief District Judge Troy Nunley ruled. "Defendants repeatedly failed to disclose material information to this Court, declined to seek Court guidance or relief, and then publicly declared that the Court had 'approved' their actions... Defendants’ conduct is brazen," Nunley wrote. "The Court finds Defendants have failed to comply with Rule 3.3 and admonishes them for their lack of candor."See attached document....
