Meta, TikTok, Google denied injunction against Calif. social-media addiction law

( August 5, 2026, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Meta Platforms, Google, and TikTok's motions for an injunction against California’s Protecting Our Kids from Social Media Addiction Act have been denied by a California federal judge, who said they failed to show that the “personalized feed provisions” are likely to infringe upon their First Amendment rights. US District Judge Edward J. Davila concluded that the First Amendment challenge fails because the companies did not show that their personalized feeds “convey an expressive message or reflect human editorial judgment.”See attached file....
