South Korea copyright collective adopts AI-assisted music registration rules

Under the new criteria, which took effect Monday, works created with AI assistance may be registered if the creator substantially participated in writing lyrics, composing or arranging the music. South Korea’s largest music collective management organization said the new rules mark the country’s first codification of such registration and management standards. Until now, it had suspended the registration of AI-assisted works to prevent potential disputes and distortions of rights in the absence of a legal or institutional framework governing such works.The statement is attached (in Korean)....
