Thai privacy regulator probes health app, investor portal over data incidents

The Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee said it has requested additional information from both organizations, and that it will assess whether appropriate security measures were in place, whether the incidents were handled promptly and whether statutory breach-notification requirements were met.Thailand's privacy regulator is examining two high-profile incidents involving healthcare records and investor data, saying that organizations will be assessed on their security measures and breach response rather than the mere existence of a data incident....
