( July 30, 2026, 02:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, has fined Mitsubishi Corporation 1 billion rupiah ($55,700) for failing to notify the regulator on time of its acquisition of PT Coates Hire Indonesia. In a decision issued on Wednesday, the KPPU found that Mitsubishi submitted its mandatory post-closing merger notification 11 working days after the statutory deadline following the acquisition of a 99.99 percent stake in the heavy equipment rental company, which became legally effective on April 5, 2024. The commission noted Mitsubishi's cooperation during the proceedings, during which the company said the delay resulted from an error by its former legal adviser, but nevertheless imposed the administrative fine.Statement follows (in Indonesian)....
