( July 16, 2026, 03:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Statement: Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, or Komdigi, said Wednesday that it will prioritize education, healthcare, financial services and public administration as part of a strategy to close Indonesia's artificial intelligence capability gap. Deputy Minister Nezar Patria said high AI adoption has not translated into advanced use of the technology, with many businesses and public institutions still relying on basic applications. He said the government is developing a National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, an AI Roadmap and National AI Ethics Guidelines, which are being prepared for adoption under a risk-based presidential regulation.
