Indonesia wins partial WTO ruling in EU fatty acid antidumping dispute
( July 15, 2026, 05:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Statement: Indonesia's Trade Ministry said a World Trade Organization panel had partially upheld the country's challenge to European Union antidumping duties on Indonesian fatty acid imports, finding inconsistencies in the EU's methodology for calculating dumping margins while rejecting several of Indonesia's broader legal claims. In a statement on Wednesday, the trade ministry said the panel report, published on July 8, does not require the EU to withdraw the antidumping duties. Trade Minister Budi Santoso said the ministry would use the ruling to support further efforts to preserve market access for Indonesian fatty acid exports to the EU through available WTO mechanisms and trade diplomacy. Indonesia initiated dispute DS622 after challenging the EU's anti-dumping measures as inconsistent with WTO rules.Statement follows (in Indonesian)...
