South Korea finalizes e-commerce rules on seller verification, penalties

The Korea Fair Trade Commission said Tuesday the package eases identity-verification requirements for individual sellers on online marketplaces, establishes criteria requiring certain foreign e-commerce operators to appoint a domestic representative from Jan. 21, 2027, and requires businesses to disclose how consumer reviews are collected and managed.
