Japan's LY Corp discloses external transmission of LINE GAME user identifiers
( July 14, 2026, 02:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Internet company LY Corp announced Monday that internal user identifiers for about 6.1 million unique users, or about 7.1 million identifier records, of the LINE GAME titles LINE PokoPoko, LINE Pokopang Town and LINE Pokopang were unnecessarily transmitted to an external advertising tool used by a partner company because the tool's settings were not properly checked. The Japanese operator of Yahoo Japan and the LINE messaging app said the transmission has ceased, the tool provider has deleted the data, no personal or financial information was involved and no unauthorized use or secondary harm has been reported.Statement follows (in Japanese)....
