In a statement on Tuesday, Australia's eSafety Commissioner said a new transparency report has found serious gaps in platforms’ use of available technologies such as language analysis that can identify well-known coercion scripts used by sexual-extortion offenders. The statement added that between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2025, the regulator received more than 2,000 complaints about sexual extortion, with young men aged 18 to 24 the most affected.Statement follows.
