Brazil's ANPD probes health organization over patient data breach
( July 8, 2026, 22:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Brazil’s National Data Protection Agency (ANPD) has initiated a sanctioning process against the Institute of Health and Citizenship (ISAC), a social organization headquartered in Brasília that manages public healthcare units in several Brazilian states. ISAC is under investigation for alleged failures in protecting the sensitive personal data of 500,000 patients following a security incident that took place in 2025 and was reported by the health organization to the data watchdog.
