It has taken major tech companies to court in recent years, with Microsoft and Amazon among its latest targets. What stands out, however, is that the regulator has relied primarily on the Australian Consumer Law. Of the ACCC's 20 active ACL proceedings, eight involve online platforms, including Microsoft, Amazon and Meta Platforms.
