( July 6, 2026, 19:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: After the US Supreme Court said it will review a civil contempt finding against Apple, the iPhone maker has asked a California federal judge to stay district court proceedings over the commission rate it charges on transactions made outside the App Store. In its request, Apple said a stay of district court proceedings "would not result in any damage to anyone," since "Apple is not presently charging any commission on linked-out purchases," either to Epic Games or any other developer. Apple also argued that absent a stay, it would "be required to litigate its commission rate — which would require witnesses, expert testimony, briefing, and the like — predicated on a civil contempt finding that may be reversed, and all under a legal framework that would be vacated if Apple prevails in the Supreme Court."See court document. ...
