Japan starts annual review of Big Tech's fair dealings with business users

Members of a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry monitoring panel have started examining compliance reports submitted by designated operators in the e-commerce sector — Amazon Japan, Rakuten and LY Corp. — and the digital advertising sector — Meta Platforms, LY Corp., Google and TikTok. The panel on Monday discussed key questions to raise with the companies in the coming months.
