Zillow, Redfin oppose US FTC motion for judgment in antitrust case

( June 25, 2026, 03:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Zillow and Redfin filed an opposition to the US Federal Trade Commission's motion for summary judgment in the agency's case alleging the companies agreed not to compete in the market for rental advertising offering through an end-run $100 million deal. Discovery has shown, and trial will confirm, that Zillow and Redfin's partnership is procompetitive and provides American renters more choice, while property managers and owners get more leads and leases at lower cost, the defendants said in their filing in the Eastern District of Virginia. Rather than engage with a record that demonstrates these facts, the FTC asks the court to arbitrarily limit the scope of evidence at trial, and granting the motion will "only spur unnecessary and wasteful squabbles about evidentiary questions at this bench trial," the filing said.See attached file....
