Japan cargo owners warned over unfair practices in logistics sector

The Japan Fair Trade Commission issued 779 warning letters and conducted onsite inspections at 105 cargo owners. The survey found that wholesalers and retailers frequently required trucks to wait for loading or unloading without compensation and engaged in other practices that increased costs for transport operators.
