The regulator cautioned that US restrictions on access to Anthropic's advanced models highlight the sovereign risks of relying on offshore AI providers. University of New South Wales cybersecurity expert Richard Buckland said frontier AI is making it easier for attackers to find and exploit vulnerabilities, eroding trust in digital communications and increasing the urgency for organizations to prepare for cyber breaches.
