China unveils framework to probe supply chain security threats

( June 25, 2026, 03:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China's Ministry of Commerce has published procedures for investigating foreign actions that harm the country's industrial and supply chain security, including discriminatory restrictions and transaction disruptions that violate market norms. The framework, effective immediately, allows authorities to impose countermeasures such as trade bans, investment restrictions and entry prohibitions. Domestic companies that fail to comply with these measures may face restrictions on government procurement, cross-border data transfers and international trade, the ministry said in a statement Wednesday.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
