Endeavour Group's bid for Australian liquor-store site under review

( June 22, 2026, 07:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Endeavour Group's proposal to acquire a leasehold site in New South Wales to open a liquor store operated by retail giant Dan Murphy's is under review by Australia's competition watchdog. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission on Monday said Endeavour operates retail liquor stores nationwide under the BWS and Dan Murphy’s brands, and the proposed Avalon site would be an additional outlet within that network. Endeavour also manufactures and distributes liquor products through Pinnacle Drinks, which are supplied to its own retail and hotel operations, the watchdog said. The lessor, Avalon DM, is an independent special-purpose vehicle established to acquire and develop the property and would lease the site to Endeavour rather than operating in liquor retail itself. The deadline for submissions is June 29.Statement follows. Questionnaire attached. ...
