Pfizer, Flynn, UK antitrust regulator prevail in drug-pricing judgment appeals

( June 19, 2026, 12:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Drugmakers Pfizer and Flynn Pharma as well as the UK Competition and Markets Authority have all won their appeals against a November 2024 ruling by the Competition Appeal Tribunal over an epilepsy-drug pricing case. The Court of Appeal judgment comes in a case that stemmed from the drug companies being fined by the CMA in 2022 for abuse of dominance over having greatly increased the price of phenytoin sodium capsules over a number of years without justification. They appealed the decision to the CAT, which in its 2024 judgment set aside the decision but remade it, also concluding that Pfizer and Flynn were guilty. All parties then appealed.Ruling attached....
