DC judge allows District's witness to testify in Cambridge Analytica suit
( June 16, 2026, 16:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Robert Okun denied Meta Platforms' motion to exclude testimony from Florian Schaub, a privacy researcher and expert witness for the District in its lawsuit alleging that the company, then known as Facebook, violated consumer protection law by failing to properly disclose privacy risks to consumers. Okun found Schaub's testimony to be informative, and said that "Facebook’s attack on Dr. Schaub’s testimony is more properly viewed as a challenge to the weight that a jury may give his testimony and does not establish that he should be precluded from testifying at all."See attached document....
