( June 16, 2026, 19:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Students suing the Law School Admission Council, who allege the body imposed a price floor for the cost of processing fees applicants to its member law schools paid, opposed the defendant's motion to dismiss their amended US antitrust claims. After reviewing the amended complaint, an Eastern District of Pennsylvania judge previously stated that LSAC would have to "bring something significantly new to the table" in its motion to dismiss, but the defendant has merely filed an unpersuasive motion that regurgitates arguments it has already raised, the students said in a brief opposing dismissal. "The motion largely ignores the 138 new paragraphs in the Amended Complaint, which cite primary sources showing how the Council and its Member Law Schools operate the Law School Application Platform at supracompetitive prices to funnel benefits back to the Member Law Schools," the plaintiffs said.See attached document....
