( June 15, 2026, 05:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s motorcycle manufacturers have been urged to curb destructive competition and strengthen innovation under an initiative issued by the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles on Saturday. The industry association said China’s motorcycle sector has expanded exports and accelerated electrification, internationalization and brand development, but faces growing problems including low-price competition, product homogenization, imitation and disorderly foreign expansion. In the proposal, the chamber called on manufacturers, exporters and parts suppliers to avoid below-cost pricing, respect intellectual property rights, improve product quality, coordinate foreign market developments and invest in core technologies. The chamber said the measures are aimed at protecting fair competition, improving the reputation of Chinese manufacturing and supporting the long-term, high-quality development of the motorcycle industry.Statement follows (in Chinese). ...
