Brazil’s Supreme Court sets 60-day deadline for Big Tech to adopt new Internet rules

( June 12, 2026, 13:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Justices on Brazil’s Federal Supreme Court have given large tech companies 60 days to comply with obligations set under the country’s Civil Rights Framework for the Internet. The measures require platforms to adopt concrete actions to mitigate the risk of violating fundamental rights, self-regulation and handling dedicated channels for content-removal requests. Internet providers will be held liable for harm caused by content published by third parties in cases involving crimes or other unlawful acts.
