Influence on data of companies working with AI is key, Swedish watchdog says

( June 10, 2026, 13:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A company's responsibility for personal data when working with AI applications depends on the influence the company has over the processing of the data, the Swedish Data Protection Authority has said in a report. If a company fine-tunes an AI model with personal data on its own initiative, as part of its product development, the company is the data controller.
