EU-Canada digital trade agreement could be finalized in autumn, official says

The talks, launched in March, aim to facilitate digital trade through rules on data flows and electronic transactions. The agreement would build on the existing agreement — CETA — which remains only partially in force pending ratification by 10 EU member states.An EU-Canada digital trade agreement could be wrapped up as soon as this autumn, before a summit of leaders of the two sides is scheduled to take place in Ottawa, a European Commission official said at an event* on Monday evening....
