US DoD reaffirmed Anthropic's supply chain risk designation, appeals court told
By Amy Miller ( June 5, 2026, 22:07 GMT | Insight) -- The US Defense Department upheld Anthropic's supply chain risk designation this week, but a US appeals court should still resolve the artificial intelligence company's petition challenging the label, the government told the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit. Anthropic agreed the appeals court still has jurisdiction, but complained the government should have notified the company sooner that the designation had been reaffirmed. The US Defense Department denied Anthropic's request for reconsideration of its supply chain risk designation this week, but a US appeals court should still decide the case on the merits, the government told the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit....
