Apollo's bid for Questex cleared by Australian watchdog

( June 3, 2026, 06:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New York‑based Apollo Capital Management's bid to indirectly acquire Questex Holdings Group, a US‑based B2B events and information services company, was granted a waiver by Australia’s competition watchdog. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said the acquisition was unlikely to substantially lessen competition because there is no overlap between the parties in B2B event services in Australia and Questex has only a minimal presence in the country. The watchdog added that competition concerns were unlikely to arise and that granting the waiver from the mandatory merger notification regime was consistent with the interests of consumers.Statement follows.
