UK call center workers face almost £119,000 order over unlawful data processing

( June 4, 2026, 10:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The unlawful selling of customer data from UK car insurance company RAC has led to a confiscation order of nearly £119,000, the Information Commissioner’s Office said in a statement on Thursday. A court in Manchester granted the order against the company’s former call center employees Debbie Okparavero and Maliha Islam, who are respectively ordered to pay £85,727 and £33,125. Both had previously pleaded guilty to copying almost 30,000 lines of personal information.Statement follows....
