( June 4, 2026, 08:41 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Ministry of Commerce, in an announcement published Thursday, approved requests by Daicel HPP Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Korean chemical and textile manufacturing company Kolon Industries to inherit antidumping duty rates and related rights and obligations under China’s measures on copolymer polyoxymethylene imports from South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. After reviewing corporate restructuring and merger applications, the ministry said Daicel HPP Malaysia will inherit the 8 percent antidumping-duty rate previously applied to Polyplastics Asia Pacific Sdn. Exports to China made under the former company names will be subject to residual antidumping-duty rates of 9.5 percent for other Malaysian companies and 30.4 percent for other South Korean companies. The decision takes effect Friday. China renewed the antidumping measures for another five years in October 2023.Statement follows (in Chinese)....
