The meeting was co-chaired by Sun Xiaobo, director-general of the Department of Arms Control at China’s Foreign Ministry, and Chris Jones, director of Technology & Analysis at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. Officials from China’s National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Cyberspace Administration of China, as well as representatives from the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, Cabinet Office, Department for Business and Trade and the British Embassy in Beijing, also attended.
