By James Konstantin Galvez ( June 3, 2026, 07:06 GMT | Insight) -- CeMAP and four major cement producers have settled one of the Philippines' longest-running antitrust investigations, ending a case that began in 2017 over allegations of anticompetitive agreements and abuse of dominance. Under a consent order approved by the Philippine Competition Commission, the parties agreed to strengthen compliance programs, review internal policies and undergo competition-law training. The settlement includes a 40-million-peso ($710,000) penalty, the largest imposed by the PCC to date, with the regulator set to monitor compliance with the commitments.One of the Philippines' oldest and most closely watched antitrust investigations has come to a close after the country's competition regulator approved a settlement with the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, or CeMAP, and several of the country's largest cement producers....
