Scam ads on Meta platforms pose systemic risk, Austrian regulatory study says

The report identified more than 634,000 fraudulent or problematic ads on the platforms within three months. It said the compliance gaps documented in the report indicated that measures against fraudulent advertising fell short of the Digital Services Act obligation for very large online platforms to not only to identify systemic risks, but also mitigate them through appropriate measures.
