Singapore consults on generative AI personal data guidelines

( June 2, 2026, 06:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Proposed guidelines on how the Personal Data Protection Act applies to generative AI will be the subject of a public consultation held by the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission. The draft guidance addresses the use of publicly available personal data in model development, requires AI-specific notifications for large-scale model training and fine-tuning using user data, and outlines data protection responsibilities for model providers, system providers and system deployers. It also discusses access and correction requests relating to personal data used in generative AI. Comments are open until July 1, 2026. Documents are attached....
