South Korea penalizes Trip.com for e-commerce violations in flight-ticket sales

The Korea Fair Trade Commission said Trip.com Singapore and Trip.com Korea failed to register for online sales activities as required under the law, refunded some canceled tickets with airline vouchers rather than the original payment method and informed consumers that refunds could be provided only in voucher form. The regulator imposed corrective orders, reporting obligations and a 10 million won ($6,600) fine.
