Portugal pushes EU to strip away state-aid red tape for investment projects

In a note to governments, Lisbon takes aim in particular at the need to explain how subsidies have an "incentive effect" for companies and how aspects of the process make projects "unfeasible" in many cases.European Union rules that require state aid to have an "incentive effect" to be exempted from EU scrutiny must be clarified or amended, Portugal said in a recent document seen by MLex....
